Aphid are a rising alternative band from Carlisle and the Lake District in the UK, formed in 2024 by four 15-year-old musicians who are crafting a sound far beyond their years. Their music blends the atmospheric haze of shoegaze with the raw aggression of 1990s alt-rock, pulling inspiration from Smashing Pumpkins, Rage Against the Machine, Nirvana, Title Fight, and the modern emo–math-rock revival. Aphid are currently in the studio recording original material, including the tracks Lilium Gazed at the Stars and Mint Black Pepper Mint.
