A singer and songwriter with a distinctive voice, April Start was born in Pincher Creek, Alberta, Canada, but grew up across the border in Spokane, WA. Smitten early by music, she moved to New York City at the age of 18 to pursue her musical dreams. She wrote and recorded her debut album, Changes, and released it on her own in 2005. Several songs from the project ended up on various movie and television show soundtracks, including the opening theme to the TLC series Makeover Train.
