Ariel Gold is a young independent singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, electroacoustic artist and painter from Toronto. She majors in Drawing and Painting at OCAD University and produces all her own album covers to create the effect of a gallery on her Spotify page. She has performed her poetry, some of which is included in her album, Weather, at the Art Gallery of Ontario and the Gardiner Museum on the opening night of Yoko Ono's recent exhibit "The Riverbed".
Her 10 song LP, Weather, includes genres that range through indie-folk, R&B, alternative rock, and experimental folk, to art pop with a cohesive constant of ethereal synth sounds, guitar distortions and hauntingly authentic vocals.
She is inspired by her intense and somewhat pained experiences through the lens of her creative vision. Her highly visual lyrics and effortless performances invite the listener into her soft and colourful world.
