Bringing etchings from garage rock revival bands such as The Strokes whilst combining it with a 21st century sensibility of bands such as Catfish and The Bottlemen and Hinds, Melancholy Ray is an indie/alternative rock band started by frontman and writer Callum Fewell in late 2018. Having resided in Leeds for Music College the band has played a variety of venues small and large whilst finishing their degrees, supporting the likes of The Mysterines and Van Houten. The band has been championed by the likes of BBC Radio 1 Introducing and publications such as Earmilk and Gigwise.
