Voyaging out from Polynesia to the PNW, Arii Mas found himself undertaken by the entrancing culture of electronic dance music. A project of Mason Heremoana DuPont, Arii Mas is rooted in traditional Polynesian music; now revamping this ancient sound into the digital world to producing unadulterated dance floor pounders.
Since the age of 11 Arii Mas has been a self taught musician, fueling his passion for music with a guitar, keyboard and eventually drums. After being exposed to EDM in college, Arii Mas became hooked on dance music, with no looking back. During college he hosted his own “Dark Tech Radio” on KBVR-FM, even featuring collaborative work with local artists. Since then Arii Mas has taught himself to produce dubstep, drum n bass, and various ranges of deep house and techno, while taking inspiration from artists such as Tchami and Malaa, AC Slater, Drezo, Destructo and Jauz.
Noteworthy performances include winning OSUʻs 2018 Battle of the DJs, thus being the direct opener for DAM JAM 2019 featuring Jesse McCartney and Akon. Winner of the Resolution Festival NYE 2019 DJ Contest. Assisted as a student ambassador and helped win Up & Up festivalʻs spring 2020 competition featuring Troyboi for OSU, as well as being asked to perform as the DJ opener for Troyboi. Due to COVID-19, the concert has been postponed. Arii Mas has a proven track record of firing up any event with his mixes, and he doesn't plan on stopping anytime soon.
