After taking their leave of industrial metal legends <a href="spotify:artist:74Hj7BmnUXyx2udrIEIKwX">Fear Factory</a>, as a result of the return of original guitarist and onetime bandleader Dino Cazares, guitarist Christian Olde Wolbers and drummer Raymond Herrera wasted little time before joining forces in a new group under the heading of Arkaea. Calling upon <a href="spotify:artist:12YY9wgi8ufdP5iw8RggVO">Threat Signal</a> members, vocalist Jon Howard and bassist Pat Kavanagh (whose album Olde Wolbers had recently produced), the veteran twosome quickly inked a deal with Koch/E1 Records and issued their debut CD, Years in the Darkness, in the summer of 2009, boasting a notably more modern, stripped down, and aggressive derivative of <a href="spotify:artist:74Hj7BmnUXyx2udrIEIKwX">Fear Factory</a>'s patented electro-metal. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia, Rovi
