Arkamaya is an Alternative Folk unit that was born in Semarang City. The member of the band are Abel (drums), Deo (guitar), Theo (keyboards), and Aura (vocals). This band was born from a brief meeting at the Mace Coffee shop located in the corner of Semarang City. The name Arkamaya was taken from one of the menu’s at Mace Coffee with the intention to easily remember the origin of the formation of this band. Arkamaya is also a Sanskrit term meaning 'light'.
Arkamaya has released its first single entitled "Laksana". This song tells about everyone who has strengths, but chooses to focus on their weaknesses and always blames the situation. Through “Laksana”, Arkamaya tries to invite everyone to be more grateful than regret what has happened.
The production process for the single "Laksana" was carried out at Rumah Chaska Home Studio. The artwork is done by Yosia who can be found on the Instagram account (@yuyu.turu). This single can be enjoyed on various platforms.
