Arran Sym

Arran Sym is a Scottish artist, producer and multi-instrumentalist. Coming from a small town on the west coast of Scotland, he discovered his passion for music.

He gained recognition in the music scene through collaborations with Chicago rapper <a href="spotify:artist:4Ev40P15VcVVnwEOc0C58T" data-name="Ibn Inglor">Ibn Inglor</a> , producing the acclaimed &#34;New Wave&#34; mixtapes. In 2016, he produced Ibn Inglor&#39;s debut album, <a href="spotify:album:2bG6GVANgtYl4CwqvCfeqH" data-name="Honegloria">Honegloria</a> featuring the impactful single &#34;Pray for Health.&#34;

After moving to Japan in 2019, Arran Sym shifted to a pop-focused sound with his solo debut EP, <a href="spotify:album:1pCS77q6xC9eructZ1JSlr" data-name="1000 Micrograms of Love">1000 Micrograms of Love</a> .Then embracing the sound of the Tokyo Hip-Hop scene, he collaborated with bilingual artist <a href="spotify:artist:4S98K0l1dNX7pKcMk9mM0D" data-name="DOT.KAI">DOT.KAI</a> on the album <a href="spotify:album:7fesSi01mzcfC3I9GWu23s" data-name="Critical Touch">Critical Touch</a> featuring prominent Japanese rap artists.

Sym&#39;s 2021 debut album, <a href="spotify:album:7zyIuyPLm5FlALG8BSf4c4" data-name="Beauty Valley">Beauty Valley</a> showcased his evolving style, highlighted by the lead single <a href="spotify:track:1O6XELd70CmzKKF2RSyuFw" data-name="Fire on Me">Fire on Me</a>. In 2022, he reunited with Ibn Inglor for the album <a href="spotify:album:7t55jFEp0mc9GYkTksW8GK" data-name="Danger Zone">Danger Zone</a> part of a successful NFT project. Their collaboration extended to live performances, including a notable appearance at SXSW.
