Art Sorority (formerly Art Sorority for Girls) is songs by Daoud Tyler-Ameen, sometimes alone, sometimes with help. Since its origins in New York's antifolk scene in 2002, and through its 2010s reinvention in D.C.'s punk-house basements, Art Sorority has been many things: duos and trios and tottering collectives, multitrack bedroom odysseys, here and then gone and suddenly back again. But it has always returned to a familiar founding principle: There are certain things people simply don't know how to say, to themselves or one another, in anything resembling direct language, and it is for that reason that songs exist.

More to come, soon enough.
