Arthur Hnatek

Arthur Hnatek (pronounced Na-tek) is a Swiss contemporary musician, constantly expanding his musical landscape at the forefront of the fusion between electronic music culture and highly technical drumming. His life changed when discovering <a href="spotify:artist:6kBDZFXuLrZgHnvmPu9NsG" data-name="Aphex Twin">Aphex Twin</a> as a teenager studying jazz drumming and has been diving into electronica-infused project ever since.

His project explores the boundaries between improvisation and functional club music. His recent album <a href="spotify:album:0IST2OXdqbzXKoEdKcyLx2" data-name="Adrift">Adrift</a> was celebrated by the likes of Laurent Garnier and Gilles Peterson.

As a sought after live artist, Arthur has been seen collaborating with <a href="spotify:artist:3LEGPWdr7sarYtf2u0ETWN" data-name="Barker">Barker</a> or <a href="spotify:artist:31Ldq0GNXx6ShgToypsNHq" data-name="Stenny">Stenny</a>

He released a series of EPs, most notably in a collaboration with <a href="spotify:artist:414TcEcyOyBiJu8cRdKrxE" data-name="Taut">Taut</a> (<a href="spotify:artist:5C4iAQXHETeW2mJgsNeqQQ" data-name="Jojo Mayer">Jojo Mayer</a>) with whom they released Ritual and then <a href="spotify:album:6DdkhbjpKu0tWafRI5ZPMw" data-name="Polychroma">Polychroma</a> in 2021. Hnatek has also offered a clubbier side of his personality to many remixes, sometimes released under his allias <a href="spotify:artist:4L5ksZpedCLS7N9BJpGwf5" data-name="SWIMS">SWIMS</a>

He is also active as a composer for his jazz projects, the <a href="spotify:artist:2S4jLXMsFyr23K2sjIlF7x" data-name="Arthur Hnatek Trio">Arthur Hnatek Trio</a>. Their debut album STATIC was released in 2021 on London label Whirlwind Recordings.

After graduating in New York, Arthur has traveled the world drumming with pianist <a href="spotify:artist:0D3h8NZqNp7BN97JwtV6eW" data-name="Tigran Hamasyan">Tigran Hamasyan</a> or part of the <a href="spotify:artist:6U3cvMmHIab0CAGtC5tRY3" data-name="Erik Truffaz">Erik Truffaz</a> Quartet. Those experiences has led him to establish his drumming and as a highly acclaimed international musician.
