The band "Arturo y su Azucaribe" is mainly dedicated to the classic Son Cubano. "Arturo y su Azucaribe" plays fiery Son Cubano in the traditinal cuban music. Under the direction of Arturo the band is pushed to the highest level. The compositions of Arturos music also find the best access to the traditional music of South America. The band gains authenticity through their intercultural diversity from Cuba to Switzerland. The album was recorded in Cuba in 2018. It is the first album together with the singer Maykel Castillo from Pinar del Río, Cuba and Alcides Toirac from Havana. Arturo's compositions were complemented with lyrics by this two musicians. The Cuban composer Domingo Felipe Castro from Pinar del Río agreed to supervise and revise the arrangements for this project together with Arturo.
