Asger Techau

Asger Techau has a long history on the Danish music scene, where he has been active all his life. The first 20 years as a member and co-producer of Denmark's biggest alternative rock band ever - Kashmir.

In 2016, he released his debut album Phonetics as a songwriter and solo artist. Here, Asger Techau proved to be a solid songwriter with a good ear for melodic guitar pop and a strong personal touch.

Phonetics was followed in 2018 by two EPs; Waves and Time, where Asger Techau expanded his musical palette as a songwriter and producer. On this creative journey, a permanent collaboration with the producer Casper Hesselager (Hymns from Nineveh, The Eclectic Moniker, Palace Winter) flourished, which has manifested itself in spacious and richly detailed soundscapes.

This musical collaboration culminated with the release Descendence in 2019, where the first single Trash It achieved solid airplay on P6 BEAT.

In 2021, Asger Techau will release his third album Levels, which heralds a mature and personal songwriter who is ready to cement his place as an important and strong voice on the Danish music scene.
