Ashes In The Fall is a Finnish progressive death metal band. During the band's 6 years of existence it has gone through numerous changes in personnel, with the current roster consisting of:
Touko Kaihola - drums, percussion, backing vocals
Samuel Routama - lead vocals
Simon Valros - guitars
The band takes influences from many different sources, with our biggest influences probably being Opeth, Mastodon, Insomnium, Alcest and Gojira. Other genres, such as jazz, also have a significant influence on the band's sound, since two members of the band study in a pop/jazz music school.
After laying dormant for a long time, Ashes In The Fall have finally started to pick up their pace, with the release of the debut EP “Where Serenity Prevails” in March 2025 via Inverse Records. With the release of this new material, Ashes In The Fall has also played even more live shows, with a recent highlight in the band's career being a performance at Tuska Festival in June 2025.
