ASSIGNMENTS is a project from performance-maker and musician Phil Hayes (<a href="spotify:artist:6YSNwYMrCOTINKyXWEixc8" data-name="Phil Hayes &amp; The Trees">Phil Hayes &amp; The Trees</a>)
Phil wrote to some fel­low artist col­leagues around the planet and asked them for an as­sign­ment - the ti­tle and first line of a song


ASSIGNMENTS #2 released in June 2021 with 6 new songs written by Phil after song titles and and first lines suggested by; : Kim Noble, Shawn Sides, Do­minic Oppliger, Jen Rosen­blit und Sa­har Rahimi


ASSIGNMENTS #1 - released on Cassette (with download) and all digital formats on Ikarus Records, Switzerland in November 2020 - contains seven songs written by Phil after song titles and and first lines were suggested by;
Jacob Wren, Paloma Ayala, Charbel Haber, Erin Hawkins and Renée van Trier


ASSIGNMENTS #1 &amp; ASSIGNMENTS #2 were recorded and mixed by David Langhard at DALA Studios, Winterthur.
Phil Hayes Sings, plays Guitar, Drums, a Bass and the occasional tambourine.
Daniel Nievergelt from <a href="spotify:artist:2iUX5IFa88z9Z0Qjc16RYr" data-name="Floorbrothers">Floorbrothers</a> plays Guitars and Bass.
David Langhard from <a href="spotify:artist:7hTGTMssMqIT6EK4GsC00f" data-name="Howlong Wolf">Howlong Wolf</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:4KY47F7PPt6W5rOZ4O2PJP" data-name="Neutral Zone">Neutral Zone</a> plays Piano.
