Atsushi Asada is an internationally acclaimed musician based in Osaka, Japan.
His first release Positive Tone (2012) was chosen as one of the Dance Albums 2012 by iTunes Japan. In the following year, “I Can’t Wait” and “Not This Time” reached number 9 and 19 respectively on the American Billboard chart (Hot Dance/Club Party). Then in 2017, “Best Part Of Us” was played 10 million times in the first 6 months on Spotify. This number has since then tripled, making this song a true global hit.

Despite reaching such heights in just a few years, Atsushi could not shake off the feeling that there is something more. Unable to ignore his discomfort any longer, Atsushi made the difficult decision to withdraw from all producing activities in 2019. Taking more time for self-exploration was key to Atsushi realizing how chasing hits and following trends have been harming him and his identity as a musician. Determined to dive deeper than he ever dared into his creative pool, he began composing music to heal himself from years of self-neglect, and when he resurfaced, he found himself reborn as an “artist.”

As a seasoned musician but a fledgling artist, Atsushi’s current priorities are “creating music that enables him to connect with his inner self and stirs his deepest emotions.” His upcoming new album does exactly that, and its listeners will be witnessing first-hand the serene yet compelling ebb and flow of his newly liberated artistry.
