Initially formed as a ska band in 1999, Christian punk band Children 18:3 eventually found their sound in 2001 when they switched from a five-piece to a pop-leaning power trio made up of siblings David, Lee Marie, and Seth Hostetter. As a newly formed three-piece, Children 18:3 found their sound playing around their home state of Minnesota before releasing two EPs, 2004's Places I Don't Want to Go and 2006's Songs of Desperation. In 2008, the band signed on with Tooth & Nail, which released the trio's self-titled full-length that same year. Continuing to build a buzz in the Christian music community, the band toured with Norma Jean and Haste the Day before releasing its sophomore effort, Rain's 'a Comin', in 2010. On the Run, Children 18:3's Billboard-charting third album, arrived two years later in 2012. ~ Gregory Heaney, Rovi
