Aubrey DS is a Filipino singer-songwriter, musician, record producer, radio personality and visual artist. She started producing music in 2015, and began recording original music in 2019.
She released her original song “Come Over.” with her former band Wiho in 2019. The song made its radio debut with Magic 89.1 Davao on October 13, 2019.
She then released her single “Downstairs” as a solo artist on February 29, 2020, and a rough demo "Seeing You" during the start of the COVID-19 Quarantine in Davao City, Philippines.
She wrote and produced her debut album "Occasions Overlap" in isolation, from March to August 2020. The album is about memories, troubles, assumptions, "over-thoughts" and confessions.
She released her EP "The Alternator" on April 2, 2022 at the South Republik Studio, performing the songs live with Jake Delarmente, Jester Kadusale, Zoren Ondoy and JR Madarang.
The live EP launch marked the very first face-to-face gig of Davao-based media company South Republik. The supporting performers were Jeremy Castillo, Sydney of HighSeed and alt band 8-A.
The Alternator converts mechanical energy to electrical energy, and the album title represents her voice memos getting converted into fully produced songs. She produced the EP with her main collaborator, Yano's bassist JR Madarang.
Aubrey loves creating something out of nothing, catching moments at random and immortalizing those moments through music and visual art.
