Norwegian baritone Audun Iversen, from Harstad, Northern Norway, was launched onto the international opera stage by winning the Queen Sonja International Singing Competition 2007.
Since then Audun has appeared at some of the most distinguished opera houses worldwide including Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Opéra de Paris, San Francisco Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Oper Frankfurt, Theater an der Wien, English National Opera and Teatro dell'Opera Roma. Concert performances include Carmina Burana, Beethoven's 9th Symphony, Ein Deutsches Requiem and Britten's War Requiem with orchestras like Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Danish Radio Orchestra, Orchestre National de Lyon, Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, New Japan Philharmonic, Royal Scottish National Orchestra etc, including all Norwegian orchestras. Conductors he has worked with, include Zubin Mehta, Riccardo Muti, Sir Antonio Pappano etc.
Recent operatic engagements include Eugene Onegin at Gran Teatre del Liceu, Barcelona as well as Albert in Werther for Opernhaus Zürich and his debut at Nationale Opera, Amsterdam.
