The Oakland born producer, who now resides in Brooklyn NY, has spent the last few years steadily building up a stack of production credits for some of the most notorious rappers on the scene.
His introduction to music came through the usual childhood channels, but it was the arrival of technological advances that lured Fanon into the world of beat-making and production. Heavily inspired by the burgeoning underground scene in 2006-2007, Fanon decided to embark on his own musical career.
His M.O. is sample-heavy beats, bursting with soul, jazz, rock and multitude of other flavors, with echoes of that 90’s boom bap sound peppered throughout. It’s this laid-back but on point style that has got Fanon to where he is today and garnered the attention of plenty of notable rappers along the way. It was Mach-Hommy who first brought Fanon’s production to the fore, thanks to a number of collaborations, including H.B.O, Bulletproof Luh and The G.A.T.
