My name Ava means voice in my mother tongue (Farsi/Persian). Not only do I see it as a prophecy but my parents moved and sought a life of discomfort and loneliness in order for me to use my voice freely, to do with it as I wish, to develop as I can, to become whatever I put my mind to. There are plenty women and people in our world still voice less, many women in my beloved middle east whose lives, whose stories do not matter. I am a voice for myself, and anybody who sees me as their people.
