Awake By Design are a metal band from the UK with Power, Symphonic and Melodic Metal overtones. They have been around since 2008 and have no plans to slow down. They have official music videos on YouTube and music on all major streaming platforms.
ABD's evolution from gothic metal to powerful groove-driven melodic metal spans their trilogy of albums: Sentiment (2009), Carve the Sun (2015), and Awake By Design (2020). With the recent release of their single The Only Ones, produced by Romesh Dodangoda, they display a new direction towards melodeath, while refining their signature sound.
With hundreds of thousands of plays across multiple streaming platforms, and having supported bands such as Apocalyptica, Amorphis, Evergrey, My Dying Bride, Queensrÿche and Sonata Arctica, ABD are back with a fresh new line-up, working on a new album, and looking forward to what the future holds!
