Allen “AyyeLL” Gibson is Htown through and through. Born in St. Josephs Hospital in the center of the city, he first bonded with music while playing with a vinyl record player in a daycare activity center, spinning LP’s by Michael Jackson and the Police. By his early teens, his love for music had turned local, listening to Z-ro, Big Hawk, and Lil Keke—the Screwed Up Click—acolytes to the one and only DJ Screw.
Eventually, Allen became AyyeLL, and rapped his way into high school stardom, selling his own album releases to his classmates.
Allen still has his eye on the prize while working with Houston’s rap royalty at SugarHill. His mentors include Dave Pensado and Dan Workman. He has been privileged to work with Legendary artist such as Bun-B, Just Brittany, 6ix9ine, Reik, Manuel Turizo, and many more. Allen says that If he wasn’t writing and producing music, he’d be crafting motivational speeches. We’re just lucky that music is filling his time.
