Aaron "Aza" Brown is a BBC Introducing-featured Singer/Songwriter based in Chesterfield UK & sings in The WonderWhys-who play the likes of The Ally Pally, Cruises & support The Happy Mondays.
He rose to prominence in the mid-90's with seminal Chesterfield band-The Dazy Age. Influenced by <a href="spotify:artist:10flBVEy5MiUXOJWTaFsyL" data-name="Jellyfish">Jellyfish</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6ra4GIOgCZQZMOaUECftGN" data-name="Frank Zappa">Frank Zappa</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3WrFJ7ztbogyGnTHbHJFl2" data-name="The Beatles">The Beatles</a> & <a href="spotify:artist:7ohlPA8dRBtCf92zaZCaaB" data-name="Crowded House">Crowded House</a>, they gleaned a large following in the Midlands & North-with a highly original sound, & sun-soaked harmonies perfected into their live shows. The Dazy Age split in 1997-after recording a well-received eponymous EP the year before, & Aaron gained a degree in Music Industry Mgmt from Buckinghamshire University in 2000.
With The Chasers-he won The Derbyshire Times' "Band of The Year" title, & recorded the acclaimed Garage-Rock classic "G-Club E.P" in 2003.
Aza has returned to record the solo album he always knew he had in him-with producer <a href="spotify:artist:4lvdqwJDewU5KBoeFOeEux" data-name="Danny Burton">Danny Burton</a>. With the ethereal sheen of <a href="spotify:artist:2cGwlqi3k18jFpUyTrsR84" data-name="The Verve">The Verve</a> omnipresent & a feel good factor that belies the difficult times confronted in it's making, "Exennial" promises to be the uplifting soundtrack of The World emerging from 2 year's hibernation-anthemic debut single <a href="spotify:album:3upBPBaE4konCRoWaPMUoj" data-name="Pure Water">Pure Water</a> in April of '21 spawned an incredible 10 remixes from top EDM producers-released as an album in the July.
With 7 more singles released, "Afterthought" then gained Aza a celebrity fan in Robert Carlyle-who described him as a "hugely talented Singer/Songwriter" and loved the song's "really clever lyrics" in the Summer of 2022.
