Mark Millar is a guitarist and songwriter, influenced by the likes of Mark Knopfler, JJ Cale and a pile of old blues CDs. After years of roaming the country with several bands, he began releasing his own back catalogue of songs in 2019, culminating in the release of his first solo album, 'On the Journey'. His second album, 'Take Me to the River', was released at the end of 2020 and has gained over a quarter of a million streams on Spotify alone.
Since, then, Mark has continued writing and releasing singles in between visits to the real world. His songs tend to focus on real life - the good and the bad - what it is to be human. Sometimes they err on the side of melancholy, but it's not too long before another song comes along that gives us a glimmer of hope, pointing us gently to where that hope might be found. Sooner or later there'll be another album...
Mark is Northern Irish, but now lives in Edinburgh, Scotland. He can also be spotted from time to time in Massachusetts, USA, but only if you're quick.
