Back One Out is a punk/rock/metal project born in Livorno in November 2002. After several years of live activity, in 2006 the band released their first album, Helpless, featuring pop/punk sounds with hardcore influences, mastered in the USA by Alan Douches (Fall Out Boy, Alkaline Trio). This was followed by numerous concerts throughout Italy and shared stages with international bands such as Strung Out and 7 Seconds.
In 2012, they released their second album, Swallowed by Future, with a more aggressive sound, preceded by the single My Solitude. The following year, they released It Could Be Worth It, which was also performed during a European tour. In 2016, the lineup changed completely, leaving vocalist and drummer Alberto Velgi as the only original member. He revived the project with the 2020 album Reborn.
After a break, they became active again in 2024 with performances in Italy and abroad, including a slot at the Riverside Festival alongside Rise Against and others. In October, they released new singles including No Romance (Live Studio Session) and an acoustic version of Letters from September. In December, Bitter End was released.
Starting in 2025, the band became a power duo composed of Alberto Velgi (vocals/drums) and Raffaele Marra (guitar, bass, backing vocals). Their first single with the new lineup, Anthem of the Lost, will be released on June 20, 2025.
