Based out of Atlanta, Georgia alternative pop-punk duo “Bad Beginnings”, was formed in 2021 by Kayla Warren (she/her) and Douglas Cochran (he/him). The two of them have been life-long friends with a mutual love and admiration for all things pop-punk. Their fast-paced and melodic sound was born from their experiences growing up with 90’s alt-rock, while learning to play along with early 2000’s pop-punk. “Bad Beginnings” pride themselves on their style of paired emotive lyrics and catchy instrumentals that take their listeners on a ride of pop-punk bliss leaving them wanting more. With influences from modern pop-punk and emo bands, “Bad Beginnings” has crafted the perfect energetic and emotional sound that allows Bad Beginnings to stand out against some of today’s pop-punk heavy hitters.
Released in January of 2022 Bad Beginnings debut EP, Hoping For The Best has caught some attention from media outlets like Ghost Killer Entertainment. GKE goes on to state, “Bad Beginnings'' new EP, “Hoping For The Best” is everything you want out of a good pop-punk band. With catchy instrumentals and great vocal delivery, this EP is certainly one to add to your daily playlist”.
