Following a successful career as a classical percussionist with the French Air Force Brass
Band and as a studio recording artist in Paris for EMi, Bakean moved to Asia in (2005)
where he started focusing on electronic music.
He founded the award-winning club LOgO, one of the first underground clubs in
Shanghai, and played at the biggest clubs in China.
After his residency at Bar Rouge in Shanghai, Bakean became the first Resident DJ at W
Singapore and played across Asia. Back in Paris in 2015, Bakean produced more Organic
Deep House and signed a full LP with Berlin label Underyourskin Records under WASCA.
In 2018 Bakean’s collaboration with Roze (FR) released on Sol Selectas put him on the
map. Since then, he has released albums and remixes (Redolent, Cosmic Awakenings,
Sudam, Kamai music, Lump records), regularly reaching the Top 100 Beatport.
His music has been remixed by Valeron, Dimo (BG), FNX Omar & ARKADYAN.
He is a resident at Silencio & Les Bains in Paris.
Bakean also started his own Tulum inspired event « Xochitl » (Coya, Les Bains, Silencio,
Muse & Chacha) showcasing international upcoming artists.
Besides his studio work he is focusing on touring and collaborating with international
artists such as Adassiya, Lemurian, Musumeci, Tebra & The Mekanism to name a few.
