My new EP is mine. Mine is an EP that details different parts of the process of losing and reclaiming a feeling of agency and embodiment in my life. It’s an insight into my tendency to outsource my perception of my own worth and identity to other people and how it can erode my sense of self over time. It’s about coming face to face with that disposition over and over again until it became so uncomfortable that I was forced to start outgrowing it.
Ironically, I had to re-record the entire EP from scratch because my first attempt was shaped so much by what I thought others wanted to hear that it no longer sounded like me.
