Australia's Sebastian Muecke (aka Basenji) is an in-demand electronic musician, DJ, and producer known for his buoyant, pop-oriented tracks. A native of Sydney, Basenji initially started making music as part of a duo with fellow Sydney producer Tom Purcell (aka <a href="spotify:artist:147jymD5t0TCXW0DbaXry0">Wave Racer</a>). He then branched out on his own, posting tracks to Soundcloud and participating in Triple J radio's Unearthed competition where he grabbed ears with his track "Heirloom." It was through Triple J that he caught the attention of <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Future+Classic%22">Future Classic</a>, signing to the label in 2014. A year later, he delivered his debut EP, Trackpad, which featured the singles "Petals" and "Just Can't Get Enough." Several high-profile live dates followed ,including a tour of the U.S. for <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Future+Classic%22">Future Classic</a>. In 2017, he released the single "Mistakes," featuring <a href="spotify:artist:1kMPdZQVdUhMDKDWOJM5iK">Tkay Maidza</a>. A collaboration with <a href="spotify:artist:4OSArit7O2Jaj4mgf3YN7A">Mallrat</a>, "Nobody's Home," appeared in 2019, along with the solo track "Perfect Blue." ~ Matt Collar
