Ensemble Basiani is a Georgian a cappella singing ensemble known for its traditional Georgian folk and sacred music, particularly polyphonic singing. They were established in 2000 and became the Folk Ensemble of the Georgian Patriarchate, later gaining the status of State Ensemble of Georgian Folk Singing in 2013. The ensemble is part of the Tbilisi Holy Trinity Cathedral Choir and participates in services led by the Patriarch. Many members come from families with a history of traditional singing and have been performing since childhood.
