“Başka” was established in Istanbul at 2019. Its songs’ are in the genres of progressive rock, psychedelic rock and folk rock.
The group was generally influenced by the style and composition of the 70s. The music philosophy of the group is to present the advanced polyphonic, harmonic structure in an immersive composition by combining different melodies on top of each other, and to create a strong groove by creating rhythmic structures with the bass guitar and drums together. The group gives importance to soul music and emotional improvisations and reflects this in their music. In addition to its compositions, “Başka” adapts folk songs to classical western music forms and presents them to global audience.
