Bats of Congress combines sonic and visual referanses to the wild 60´s blended with the Scandinavian noir sound, giving the band its distinct well known vibe. Experiencing the bands atmospheric and strong stage performance, fronted by the fiery female vocals of Tone, the band impresses with striking live shows.
Est. in 2015 the band released their first single “Pictures of Me and You”, a filmatic gem that easily could be taken for being from a David Lynch movie. The band had found their sound and released three more singles, (vinyl, “Single Collections”.) On their latest EP, Days of Gold, you get great amounts of emotional and passionate energy. There is no doubt - the band has been through some rough times facing loss and sorrow. Releasing their debut album, STORM, in March 2020, there was little to gain from wonderful critics. 2020 left everything burned down. Two of the band members lost someone close. The Days of Gold EP became a resonance of experiences from the past years. There is a strong nerve and a great span in the musical expression on this release. “Breaking Black”, is a pulsating, neo-dark and tropical-hot song with a musical complexity that makes the listener go spinning. On “Days of Gold” the vocal takes us back to the sixties, and the beautiful symphony together with the strong voice of Tone Pedersen, could easily make the song be taken for a Bond-theme.
Fall 2025 will generate new music as the band is doing studio time.
