Belle & The Vertigo Waves is a Hard-Rock band combining classic, riff-based guitar and melodies with all the angst of modern, pop-driven vocals. It’s like if Pat Benatar and Taylor Swift went on a double date with Ozzy Osborne and James Hetfield.
However, it wasn't always that way.. Too eager to take the time to assemble a band, Belle hit the studio to record her first record, 'Aligned' in 2017 and hired some local musicians to play with her. She slapped a "band" name on the record in hopes that one day she'd have one. Her father, John Loux and her now husband, Jeremiah Scott played on that first record and are still in the band today.
After many shows, festivals and studio sessions, they finally found the remaining members of the band, Zach Nielsen (guitar) and Elliott Holt (drums). The sound of Belle & The Vertigo Waves evolved a long way from the once soft, indie, alternative sound that you heard on Aligned. In one way or another, each member of the band put their own musical inspirations into the band to create a much more heavy, aggressive and honestly.... fun sound.
The pool of inspiration being drawn from ranges away from Taylor Swift to Ozzy Osborn. That is what makes Belle & The Vertigo Waves such an exciting band to not only listen to, but to watch perform.
Their latest record, Lorelai showcases this new sound along with aggressive, introspective and heartbreaking lyrics. To put it plainly, they write music you can dance to, cry to, or both
