Ben Schmidt is a Guitarist, singer, songwriter, and multi instrumentalist from Billings, MT. He started playing guitar at 6, and began lessons a year later from Pete Sacchi where he studied until 12 and became self taught until after high school. Then he studied music performance and classical guitar from the very talented Elizabeth Adcock at MSU-Billings from 1994-1997. After college, he went on to form the bands "Limited Slip" which was a hard rock band featuring female vocalists, and "Bury the Girl" which got it's controversial name by switching to a male lead vocalist instead of female. Both bands released albums (available online) and played extensively throughout MT from 1996 to 2006. After those projects disbanded, he joined the band "Sonic Crown", which released both a live album, and a studio album as well as performing in many local/regional venues. Ben wrote, produced and played all of the music, and sang vocals on all but one track on the albums "Forever and a Day" and "A Lighter Side". The guest vocalist featured on the track "Locked Up" is former Limited Slip vocalist Roxanne Sanford who Ben also has appeared with in a few acoustic duos from time to time. His albums "Forever and a Day" and "A Lighter Side" are available across all streaming platforms, and he plans on releasing more possibly late 2022. Thank you for your interest, and support!
