We are two musicians that form the Music project called Beneath Velvet Skies.
Story time - On a day in February of 2020 on the eve of the year of our plague Guitarist Jeff Marcus reached out to guitarist and lyricist Joanne Braga about meeting up to discuss working together on a music project together. Little did they know after that fateful in person Starbucks meeting that it would be the last time they would see each other and the pandemic would then go into full swing. Working from their homes they both remotely worked on a demo for "Stormy Weather" and “String Lights” and despite all the hurdles resolved that no matter what the mission was to always remain a beacon or ray of hope in the darkest of days. Guitar and arrangement is both handled by Jeff and Joanne. The lyrics are solely constructed and articulated by Joanne.
