Lead singer Ben is a professional wrestler and was in need of a new theme song. He thought a Blink-182 song would be perfect, but due to copyright issues that sadly wasn’t possible. Instead, with the help of longtime bestie turned lead guitarist and producer Jono, they recorded “Bonetime.”
A drunken phone call was had a few months later where Ben and Jono agreed that starting a new band sounded like a fun idea.
With Jonty moving back to Brisbane after some time away, he was a perfect fit behind the drums and once again in a drunken conversation, Logan was convinced into playing bass (a decision his fiancé had to remind him of the morning after).
After about a year of playing and writing songs inspired by all time greats “Blink-182” and “Sum 41,” bent is beginning to carve their own sound, with a bit more edge (not edging, well maybe just a little bit) and a lot more emotion and sincerity. Driving guitars and bass, kick ass drums and personal heartfelt lyrics will be what you can expect from these four devilishly handsome boys from Meanjin.
