Multi-award winner Betusile Mcinga was born in Willowvale and bred in Umtata in the Eastern Cape by award-winning Gospel artist, Dr Lusanda Mcinga. Betusile began his career at the early age of 14 as a keyboard player and backing vocalist in the Lusanda Spiritual Group.
In 2008 he launched his solo career with the album “Mandibe Ngowakho”, earning him a nomination in the South African Gospel Music Awards. This album became well-known for the song “Ndiyanqophisa”. In 2010, Betusile released his second album titled “Inceba Zika Jesu”, featuring Dr. Lusanda Mcinga and Bulela M.
Betusile released a live CD and DVD titled “The Highest Praise” in 2018. In 2019, Betusile founded his record label “Nduna Events Management” which birthed his second live recording “Indumiso” in 2021.
Betusile, fondly known as Nduna, has released hits such as “Kuphelele”, “Nyange Lemihla”, “Zundithwale” and his latest hit “Ngena Noah”. The single was released in September 2022 and won the Song of the Year Award at the prestigious Metro FM Music Awards 2023. The song continues to top the charts.
Betusile is not only a God-fearing man, but also a philanthropist, who serves and gives back to the community. Betusile Mcinga Foundation runs continuous projects of raising funds, collecting food, and school uniforms for those who are less fortunate.
Betusile continues to raise the gospel music flag high and strives to create a global footprint.
