Beyond The Portal is a 3 piece Psychedelic Neo Sludge Metal band. BTP was started as a side project by guitarist/harsh vocalist and Rig of Doom proprietor “EvilTheWes” McCumbee of EvilLeaf. Joined by vocalist and guitarist Vaughn Hughes of Digital Dolls. Rounding out the trio is drummer and multi instrumentalist Devyn Dayton (Travis and the 357’s, True Lilith). Lyrically we touch on topics such as The vastness of Space, Aliens, humanity’s origins, and Interstellar travel. Beyond The Portal fuses psychedelic and spacey lead guitar lines with soul crushing heavy fuzzed guitar riffs. Adorned by tribal ritualistic like drums and wailing of clean to demonic vocals! “We don’t just play Heavy Music we summon it”
