Bianca Love is a NYC based vocalist, trumpeter, and bandleader. She was born and raised in New Orleans, LA, and tours worldwide. Bianca is influenced by bebop, blues, soul - influences include Betty Carter, Sarah Vaughan, Clifford Brown, Etta Jones, Nicholas Payton, Mahalia Jackson, and many more.
After studying voice at Eleanor Mcmain Secondary School in New Orleans (as a part of the Grammy winning gospel choir) she revisited her familial roots as she moved to India in 2011 to study at Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music (Chennai, India).
She became a professional musician from age 16 and eventually began singing the blues across three major metropolitan cities in India - Calcutta, Mumbai, and Pune, India.
She returned to New Orleans in 2017 to continue her music education under the mentorship of pianist Jesse Mcbride (Tulane Professor and leader of Jesse Mcbride and the Next Generation), debuting with his band at New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival in 2018.
She has had the opportunity to share the stage and record with numerous revered artists in New Orleans, Chicago, Philadelphia, New York and Los Angeles such as Maurice Brown, Marcus Gilmore, Ben Williams, Takahiro Izumikawa, Joe Blaxx, Kermit Ruffins, Marilyn Barbarin, Mike Gurrola, Tony Austin, Gene Coye, Charles "Rick" Heath, Maison Guidry, Shea Pierre, Willie Green III, Khris Royal, Nicholas Payton, and plenty more.
