BeeGeeTii has been on the brink of greatness for as long as he can remember. Growing up, music wasn’t just a passion—it was a lifeline. At just 8 years old, BGT recorded his first song using two old phones. One phone playing a beat from a game while he recorded his vocals, with the other. Even then, the dream of making it big was alive, but the journey was anything but smooth.
As a teenager, BGT moved on to using a PC to play beats while recording on a phone. It wasn’t ideal, but it was all he had. When he discovered SoundCloud’s record feature during his 1st year of senior secondary school, it felt like a breakthrough. Recording on just one device brought convenience, but the sound quality was still far from professional. Determined to improve, he later switched to Tune Me, and in 2019, he was introduced to BandLab.
At the time, there weren’t many tutorials online, but BGT was relentless, spending countless hours watching whatever content he could find, slowly grasping the nuances of audio engineering. By 2022, his skills had grown tremendously, culminating in the release of his first EP, Protégé.
But despite the progress, recognition has been elusive. Still, BGT refuses to give up. He’s constantly developing, improving, and exploring new sounds. For BGT, it’s been a long road, but the dream of finally breaking through keeps him going. Every beat, every lyric, every note is a step closer to the world finally hearing what he’s been pouring his heart into for so many years.
