Named after the Chinese word for ice cream, Bing Ji Ling was the alias of N.Y.C.-based singer/songwriter <a href="spotify:artist:4HNVo8YyZWzsg5CTTPbUQg" data-name="Quinn Lamont Luke">Quinn Lamont Luke</a>. The moniker is now formally retired. As Ling, Luke made vintage-sounding pop that takes inspiration from '60s psychedelic pop and '70s soul. From 2008 to 2012 he recorded and toured as a member of the similarly psychedelic, pop-inclined <a href="spotify:artist:4S8UOAApPhwz9WcVOj13VO" data-name="The Phenomenal Handclap Band">The Phenomenal Handclap Band</a> for the group's eponymous debut.
He is also a core member of <a href="spotify:artist:5OH7ONMuuKG0mbs9vCo6LJ" data-name="Paqua">Paqua</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:2y6K8PY1tvG5JDiUUcRACm" data-name="Incarnations">Incarnations</a>, and has released dance music tracks such as <a href="spotify:track:6hqdBOgpC58Hsq0kzQlhju" data-name="Alive (feat.
