Bioma is a feminist queercore band, founded in 2017. The band arises from the encounter of four queer people from São Paulo (Brazil), carrying a intersectional feminist speech and progressive left-wing, anarchist, anti-rascist, anti-LGBTphobic and anti-CIStemic posture.
The band members are Gael (vocals), Mayra (guitar, backing vocals), Julia (bass, backing vocals) and Leticia (drums).
In 2018, the band released two demo recordings on Bandcamp.
Their debut album was released at May 1st 2020, under the labels Carniça Distro (BR), Efusiva records (BR), Fat Zombie Tape Trader (BR), Good Things Distro (DE), Howlin’ records (BR), Industrial Coast (UK), Läjä records (BR), Oxenti records (BR), Vertigem Discos (BR), Vlad Tapes Trade (BR) and it's named "União e Rebeldia" (bond and rebellion).
We expect to release new songs in 2023!
