Birds of Tragedy is an Emo Post-Hardcore band from Jakarta Institute of Arts, formed on May 17, 2024. What started as a shared taste in music between friends quickly turned into a serious project to create something raw, loud, and honest.
The band consists of Mellani Marissha Dyati (vocals), Aveson Baihaqi Jauhari (rhythm guitar), Shafa J. Firdaus (lead guitar), Teuku Zulkifly Nasution (bass), and Dimas Kharisma Muhammad (drums). Inspired by bands like My Chemical Romance and Paramore, Birds of Tragedy blends emotional lyrics with heavy riffs and dynamic energy. Their music explores personal themes with an intense and straightforward sound.
Their debut single, "Favorite Places", marks the beginning of their journey — introducing who they are, and the stories they’re ready to share through music.
