Birgitte Damberg Trio

Birgitte Damberg Trio is a trio with a unique sound, blending jazz with singer/songwriter, blues and contemporary music. As a listener, one is drawn into their musical universe, without thinking about genre. The three musicians bring their different backgrounds and sounds to the music, and make this band their playground. They offer warmth, humour and brilliant musical interaction. Beautiful harmonies and surprising dissonance provide both the light and shadow the lyrics need to reach the audience. They released their third album "Midtveis" in 2022, and they have played numerous concerts at festivals and in clubs. In 2019, the music video "Vintervals" was nominated in Supertoon International animation film festival in Sibenik, Croatia, in the category «Best music video»

In October 2025 the album "What If" is released. This time Birgitte Damberg has set music to poems of the award winning poet from Nagaland, Northeast India, Easterine Kire in collaboration with her husband, producer and arranger Åsmund Reistad. Birgitte Damberg has got free rein in cutting and rearranging Kire's poems into musical custom.
