Blå Lotus

Blå Lotus was formed during the fall of 2016 by three guys straight out of the Swedish forests with a vision of making heavy progressive music without the aid of a guitar. Influenced by old school progressive acts of yore, they set out to create a fulfilling soundscape equipped with just bass, drums and Hammond organ, bringing to life a vast array of lengthy jam-based compositions interspersed with heavy riffs and psychedelic wonders. Blå Lotus consists of Fredrik Andersson (keyboards, vocals), Linus Karlsson (bass) and Wiktor Nydén (drums) and was from the very beginning providing themselves with original material on courtesy of Andersson's songwriting. During the fall of 2017 they signed with Florida-based label Melodic Revolution Records and in January 2018, their self-produced debut album Tube Alloys was digitally released. The following year they released their sophomore album Högtid. Critics have compared them with various progressive and psychedelic acts of the 60/70's, such as Atomic Rooster , The Nice, The Doors, Iron Butterfly and Emerson, Lake & Palmer.
