Black Lace found their niche in the discos of Spain, where a song called "Gioca Jouer" was getting everyone up on their feet. A seemingly silly ditty encouraging the audience to participate in simple movements such as sleeping, sneezing, and combing your hair; it ended with the simple movement of raising an arm out in the air and pretending to fly – and so the song ‘Superman’ was born. The single reached the Top Ten in the late summer of 1983 and once again Black Lace were on the hunt for their next big thing. This time they found a Moroccan hit by the Sargossa Band called "Agadou," which became "Agadoo," achieving one of the biggest singles of 1984. "Agadoo" was another novelty record with strange gestures of pushing pineapples, and shaking trees, and despite being one of the most hated singles of the year, it couldn’t be escaped. Christmas 1984,and they were back with "Do the Conga," a party song which had everybody following the leader and snaking around the dance floor. Their success continued through throughout 1985, with singles "El Vino Collapso," "I Speaka Da Lingo," and "The Hokey Cokey” before TV advertised album “Party Party” hit the charts. With 8 million records sold worldwide, 86 weeks in the uk charts, Black Lace are the must have party band for any festival, concert event or party! From Superman to Do The Conga, Agadoo to Music Man, Black Lace are guaranteed to get any party started!
