A Reggae-Inspired artist based in Toronto Canada, Orchid is a multifaceted creative, who has displayed exceptional writing and vocals to her own productions. Her records are genre-bending and innovative.
A semifinalist in the 2017 “Battle Of The Beatmakers”, Orchid has produced alongside Sly & Robbie and has worked with artists such as DeeWunn, Chelsea Stewart, Red Rat and Maestro Fresh Wes to name a few.
She is the founder and curator of the “That’s a Dope Sample” music project, where she teaches about the art of sampling, breaks down samples and the interpolations in the various genres of music.
She partnered with Maizy F alongside other Toronto-based talents for a the 13th and 14th edition of the 6ix Female Cypher, producing the beat for this year's installment.
She produced Red Rat's first summer anthem, This Summer released in June 2021.
She has also produced 2 songs from Canadian Godfather of Hip Hop, Maestro Fresh Wes' new kids album released in November 2021.
