The Blackwych style of music falls into the rock/heavy metal genre and can be consumed as such. Hailing from Ireland the band's core members after a time were three brothers from from a small village in County Kildare.
Declan on guitars and vocals
Niall on bass and vocals
Ciaran on lead vocals
Declan (Dec James) was the main song writer in the band collaborating with Niall and Ciaran on tracks like Burning down the line, Between the lines and Metal Mania.
Like all musical families, they worked well together and had their own style of rock based on the varied musical influences each brother had been listening to. They recruited Bobby Tierney from Wexford as a second guitarist and drummer Chris Andralinus from Kildare to complete the line-up on their debut Album "Out of Control". Influences like Deep Purple, Humble Pie, Thin Lizzy, Mama’s Boys, Queen and the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal, helped forge a band with a hard hitting performance on stage combined with savage visual energy.
There have been many musicians who have joined and left the band from it's humble conseption.
