After exploring their first foray into extraterrestrial glam rock, Blaster Silonga is ready to reinvent
themselves with spiky hair gel, a Jazzmaster guitar facing against towering castle-like Fender
amps, and a visual language that’s akin to 90’s Japanese Visual-kei. Beginning in 2017, IV of
Spades was at the brink of having their first big break. Their hit single “Come Inside of My Heart”
defined a generation.
‘Guitar music’ was at its peak and Blaster Silonga helped popularize the
spectacle of the solo - a playing style that can be told as a narrative device rather than a
showcase of one’s technique. From a glittery rocketship switching to a Victorian-era
penmanship, there’s significance and gracefulness, and Blaster makes sure that all worlds
coexist.
Whether performing in tea parties or dungeons, Blaster Silonga’s genre-bending aesthetics also
transcends the perception of looks, conventions and even the approach of such. He applies a
flamboyant lifestyle from which his maturing songwriting process exists within the confines of a
fashionable sonic style.
For 2024, Blaster shows us a newer, more personal side. Their latest release,
“Kamukha”
, at
first it looks normal at plain sight; bright makeup, vogueish stage presence, and flamboyant
bravado. However, there's meaningful noise existing underneath the depths of Silonga’s
effective gothic methodology.
It is with great delight to announce that we are in a new age. Well look no further: Blastervania
