Blessed by a Broken Heart are a hard rock sextet hailing from Quebec, Canada, where they first started spicing their predominantly metalcore songwriting with tiny dashes of punk, new wave, and hair metal in 2002. Originally comprised of members Hugh (vocals), Robbie (guitar and vocals), Simon (guitar and keyboards), Nathan (guitar), Tyler (bass), and Frank (drums), the group unveiled its debut album, All Is Fair in Love and War, through independent <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Blood+%26+Ink+Records%22">Blood & Ink Records</a> in 2005. They officially signed to <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Century+Media%22">Century Media</a> in early 2007, adding new vocalist Tony Gambino, and proceeded to reinvent themselves as a keyboard-addled hard rock band whose lingering hardcore influences were shockingly offset by an '80s glam rock influence on the following year's Pedal to the Metal album. Around 2010, the band solidified its lineup featuring vocalist Gambino, as well as, Shred Sean (guitar), Sam Ryder (guitar), Tyler Hoare (bass), and Slater (drums).
